Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for all the equipment within the MCTC, maintenance, improvements, installation, inspection, documentation, fault finding reporting and other engineering tasks. The AMRC Training Centre are working with this company to recruit an Apprentice to study the Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Standard.


Principal Accountabilities:

In this capacity, your role and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

Perform maintenance tasks for all the MCTC, this includes but not limited to:

  • Breakdown response and fault finding
  • Planned inspections
  • Routine maintenance
  • Overhauls
  • Installation of new equipment
  • Control, review and edit relevant documentation;
  • Work-Inspection reports
  • Risk assessments
  • Technical documentation
  • Spares control
  • Ensure that your activities comply with health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Establish and develop successful working relationships with a network of local and international suppliers
  • Work with contracting resources and OEM's to perform a variety of tasks
  • Support R&D work on future models by providing support, ideas, and bespoke items required to develop new processes
  • Monitor and react to feedback from equipment monitoring systems

Qualifications Required

5 GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) including maths, English and a science.

Training Provided

Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard Mechatronics Maintenance Technician pathway, which includes:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
  • Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
