What will the apprentice be doing?
You wil learn about the care and education of babies and children aged 0 - 8 years. Learning about and delivering activities which meet the EYFS curriculum you will work as part of a team with your colleagues and parents and carers to ensure every child has a safe and caring environment in which to reach their potential.
Tasks include acting as a keyworker for a gorup of children, following children's daily routines, carrying out risk assessments.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will receive your level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.
You will be trained by your colleagues and our preferred training provider to be able to impliment the EYFS curriculum effectively and maintain personal care of a young child.
All training takes place at our premises in Cambridge, both on the job and time with your tutor. There is no requirement to attend day release.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We encourage our Apprentice's to progress on to their level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship and become full and valued members of our team.
