The Arqiva smart metering system is designed to be “always available”, so utility companies can provide time-critical smart services whenever and wherever customers need them. This role sits within the Service & Operations team providing a vital support service to the Smart Metering and Smart Water industries.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Work with the ServiceNow platform, creating dashboards and reports, providing first-line support, administration and maintenance

Ownership of the ServiceNow data platform for the Machine-to-Machine business and responsibility for maintaining department data in the Service Domain  

Production of “how to” training guides and documentation, training new starters on the ServiceNow platform 

Work with business users to identify and refine business requirements, workflows and user cases 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This is an exciting opportunity to combine study with real work-based experience and learning to enable you to gain a  Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.  

This programme covers all aspects of data analysis to provide business insight. The course will provide you with a varied  skillset, providing you with a good understanding of data structures, database systems and procedures and the range of analytical tools used to undertake a range of different types of analyses. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Arqiva apprentices stay with the business and move across the Arqiva career structure into technical specialist roles or into management roles. With the skills and experience gained in this role, there will be numerous career development options available.
