Job Description

The Customer Relationship Assistant role will interface between our marketing department and Referrals Team to support the development, building and maintenance of customer relationships and to research and attract new customers to the business. The role sits within the marketing team and reports into the Senior Marketing Executive.

Responsibilities

As part of this Apprenticeship you will be enrolled on to the Level 3 Business admin advanced training programme,

You will be supported by your employer and by your training provider whereby you will be given a dedicated Skills Tutor who will visit you on a 4 - 6 weekly basis and deliver a bespoke teaching and learning session as well as coach and give feedback also support you with your evidence collation.

The programme will last around 15-18 months and at the end you will complete an end point assessment.

Job Role (key day to day tasks)

CONTACT MANAGEMENT:
Working with Senior Marketing Executive to:

  • Co-ordinate training and processes for colleagues on using the CRM (Customer Relationship Management Database) to best effect for on-going relationship building and contact management (utilising, Notes, Tasks & Activities, contact assignment and follow up)
  • Co-ordinate the development of new CRM dashboards and reports to report on business critical factors ie pipeline, number of enquiries, contact management activity with key business clients
  • Help ensure CRM is up to date in terms of clean data and marketing and sales activity by account and contact

KEEPING MARKETING DATABASE UP TO DATE:

  • Oversee unsubscribes and GDPR requirements
  • Add new contact data to the CRM
  • Maintain spreadsheets and data reports (in line with GDPR)
  • Undertake regular data-cleaning

IDENTIFYING AND RESEARCHING NEW CONTACTS:

  • Investigation and resolution of missing contact data
  • Searching internet for missing data to enhance data under GDPR regulations
  • Co-ordinate the purchase of new external data

CRM SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS:
Working with Senior Marketing Executive to:

  • Help shape system improvements and integration with other platforms ie Email platforms, Outlook, welcome process)
  • Run system reports to better inform our marketing and targeting
  • Facilitate testing of CRM system in line with development work or migration work completed

MARKETING:

  • Co-ordinate Consensus' presence in Directories, website and Local Authority portals
  • Support marketing team with additional workload in an admin capacity where required - this could include event, digital and PR projects
  • Working with Senior Marketing Executive to co-ordinate local marketing engagement campaigns and analyse success

Future Prospects

A possibility of an on-going role within the marketing team.

Skills Required

  • At least 1 to 2 years experience in working with computer operating systems and database technology
  • Experience of working within a customer focused role
  • Experience in undertaking research for missing contact information

  • Strong communication skills - for effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to write content in a customer facing way
  • Strong organisational and planning skills to manage individual tasks and wider projects
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Intermediate level of Excel and Outlook 
  • Understanding of client relationship management within a sales and marketing environment (desirable)
  • Understanding of marketing practise (desirable)

Qualifications Required

GCSE's (or equivalent) grade C/4 or above including maths and English.

Training Provided

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard

Business admin qualification including Functional Skills in maths and English if required.
