What will the apprentice be doing?
Apprentice will be expected to work in a team to manufacture kitchens and bedrooms. Duties include:
- Using hand & power tools to assemble components
- Manual and team lifting
- Using edgebanders to apply edge tape to chipboard panels
- Assisting on the beam saw to cut materials to specification
- Spend time learning the CNC to drill materials
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Furniture manufacturer standard, including NVQ and Functional Skills in maths and English. Work based learning.
