A successful company offering Business Centre services to a range of diverse businesses is looking for an apprentice to join their team. You will learn all about business support administration and delivering customer service.

An opportunity to learn the skills of general office administration, call handling, account managing and assisting the general running of a business centre.

Please note – The position is based in Tunbridge Wells, but the company proposes to conduct face to face interviews at its offices in Tonbridge which have been adapted to ensure social distancing. Virtual interviews will also be available if preferred. 

We are looking for an apprentice to assist with the daily activities of running the centre.

Duties will include:

  • Responsibility for answering and making calls on behalf of our business and our clients
  • Post handling
  • General administration
  • Setting up meeting rooms for users
  • Assisting with managing contractors for various utilities in the building
  • Many other daily tasks.

Reality Check

You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work.  Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid.

The offices are located in central Tunbridge Wells, just a 5 minute walk from the railway station.

Tunbridge Wells is has several bus routes from the surrounding area including:

Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells district and Sussex border area, West Malling and Maidstone.

Qualifications Required

GCSE (or equivalent) Grade A-C/4-9 is required in English or maths, with a minimum of Grade E/2 in the other subject

Training Provided

Level 3 Business Administrator

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard. It may be necessary for you to complete Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT – subject to previous achieved grades.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
