What will the apprentice be doing?
Every day is different, you are working with and supporting people to help live their life and be part of the community. You will work through your Care Certificate, Diploma in Health & SOcial Care, then have additional training from 1st Aid, Moving & Handling, understanding mental health the list is fairly comprehensive and all open to you in your role.
We are looking for important values in our apprentices, we need people who Care, who show Respect & Dignity, are joyful in their outlook on life.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training is a mix of classroom based at the Home or at Head Office, and via our e-learning platform.
The first 12 weeks is intensive training for the care certificate, then bi weekly expect to have e-learning and/or office based training, as wlel as shadowing on the job training.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full time permanent positions are available at any of our 14 Homes. Upwards progression is available on completion of all required training.
Reality CheckSupport work is challenging both mentally and physically. You will be working with individuals who have life limiting challenges of their own and we are there to support them live their life to the full. Our employees are continually being trained and supported allowing them to support our Service Users.
