Responsibilities
At Yowsun Care, we pride ourselves on the high standard of care that we provide. We ensure that our services enhance the quality of life of our service users through the support we provide by helping them lead a very independent life, as much as possible, in the comfort of their own homes.
As Apprentice Care Assistant you will be helping clients in their own homes with all aspects of their day-to-day living, including physical and social activities such as eating, bathing and shopping.
We are looking for people who are caring, supportive and passionate about providing a high level of care and support to vulnerable people, who can help them maintain their dignity and respect at all times. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and an empathetic approach are essential.
Previous experience in the Care Industry is not essential, as a full induction course and ‘shadow’ training will be provided to successful candidates.
As Apprentice Care Assistant you will be responsible for supporting clients to live independent lives in their own homes, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting clients with all aspects of their day-to-day living, including physical and social activities
- Helping with eating, bathing and shopping
- Maintaining clients dignity and respect at all times

Training Provided
On completion of this 15 month apprenticeship you will have achieved:
- Level 2 Adult Care Worker
- Care Certificate
- Diploma in Health and Social Care
- Functional skills if required
