Responsibilities
What will the apprentice be doing?
The specific division of responsibilities will be agreed locally but these roles are varied, ranging from supporting education and student experience, research, business operations, governance, and facilities management. Regardless of the area of focus, you will:
work alongside experienced colleagues learning on the job;
support activity, operations and administration ensuring an exceptional customer experience and high levels of service;
provide support and guidance on operational processes and activities;
contribute to continuous improvement in the Faculty;
provide general support including: supporting committees, raising purchase orders, maintaining records, dealing with enquiries, organising events, updating websites etc.; and
contribute to local projects and initiatives.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will work towards a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.
The apprenticeship will be provided in conjunction with Babcock.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship and satisfactory performance, this opportunity will possibly lead to permanent employment.
