37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Daily working hours to be discussed at interview. 2 X 15 minute breaks (am&pm) daily. 1 hour lunch break daily.

Providing administrative takes to GPs and other members of the team. Variety of patient facing tasks including making appointments, dealing with patients tasks queries and requests.


Main Duties:

  • Actioning Doctors requests
  • Dealing with patients by phone or face to face
  • Filing / note pulling
  • Generating letters and forms
  • Appointment booking
  • Register new temporary and permanent patients to the practice and deal with associated documentation with the regulatory authorities
  • Patient record summarizing / scanning
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications Required

GCSE grades 9-3/A*-D in maths and English or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.

Training Provided

Level 2 - Business and Administration:

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework; consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and the Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Workbook. It may be necessary for you to complete Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT – subject to previous achieved grades.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
