Job Description

As a Business Administrator you will be expected to deliver your responsibilities efficiently, confidentially and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing new and existing skills.


Take responsibility to help run the school office on a daily basis.  This will include: answering the main telephone, receiving, managing and responding to emails, dealing with visitors and pupils on reception, issuing visitor passes, photocopying, laminating and scanning documents, filing, typing documents, providing other general administration assistance to all school staff including senior management and Business Manager.

You will be:

  • Producing documents, preparing notes, organising and co-ordinating events and meetings
  • Developing and delivering presentations
  • Setting up and maintaining filing systems
  • Using a variety of software packages and data bases for updating information
  • You may be required to manage small projects

You will be involved in the care of children when they are feeling unwell and will be required, as all school staff are, to administer first aid when necessary. Specialist training will be given.

  • May lead to permanent employment for the right candidate on completion of the apprenticeship

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum GCSE Grade C(4) in English and maths or equivalent
  • All applicants will be required to take initial assessments in maths, IT and English
