Responsibilities

We currently have a position for an apprentice bench hand joiner to work within our existing manufacturing team. You will work as an apprentice bench joiner and will complete a 2 - 3 year training programme that will cover aspects of bench joinery to enable you to manufacture and install bespoke joinery items.

You will learn how to:

  • Identify and work with various manufacturing materials
  • Understand and have input into cad set out drawings
  • Health and safety/COSHH understanding
  • Training on a range of joinery hand tools, portable machinery (drills, sanders, routers)
  • Assembly of bespoke/high end joinery products
  • Wrappings and protective material of goods ready for transit
  • Attend site and aide the installation team

  • To continue with the company. Further training as required and negotiated for the role

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week)

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE grades A*- D/9-3, or equivalent. Or a good level of English and maths with the ability to achieve Level 1 standard as a result of Initial Assessment
