What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties will include:
Carrying out routine maintenance on all types of light goods vehicles
Using a range of specialist technical equipment
Carrying out routine stock maintenance procedures
Communicating directly with customers and suppliers
Maintaining good health & safety standards in the workplace
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Autocare Technician Standard
Functional Skills in English & maths (if required)
With mentoring, support and monitoring whilst at work, combined with residential training at the Atcham Training Centre, you will gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to achieve your qualification
All travel, and accommodation costs are covered by the employer, whilst attending the Training Centre.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once qualified, the right candidate may progress within the company.
Reality Check
As an autocare technician, you will have a number of transferable skills. This is a physically demanding role. You may be expected to work Saturday’s on a rota basis. Off the job training is on a residential basis, all travel and accommodation costs are covered by the employerSkills Required
