Job Description

We are a busy team working with customers over the phone, by email and using remote support tools. We are looking for someone to develop their knowledge of technical support and IT Systems used across the organisation. You will be supported by our experienced colleagues. You will get a minimum of 6 hours per week set aside for learning

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • working in a busy IT environment to meet the needs of our customers
  • using our call logging system to prioritise your workload and respond to queries and incidents
  • setting up new, amending and deleting user accounts within software supported by the schools IT team
  • assisting the Systems Engineer with termly upgrades to the SIMS.net system used by Suffolk Schools
  • processing data from schools into one of our main CYP applications
  • assisting schools with statutory returns checking and maintaining the backup solution used by schools
  • liaising with third party suppliers to fix faults.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will gain a level 3 qualification as an Information Communications Technician.

We will give you at least 6 hours per week for your learning and training which will be done either in the office or from home.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Please note there is no guarantee of a permanent position, however at the end of your contract you will have 3 months of priority access to our vacancies in order to support you to find employment.
