Job Description

Looking for a career in aircraft engineering? Does the prospect of working for Europe's largest airline group excite you? Ryanair have opportunities for 16 apprentices within its aircraft engineering team for 2021. As an apprentice you will achieve your CAT A license whilst working within a team responsible for maintaining over 450 aircraft.


What will the apprentice be doing?

As an apprentice you will complete your Foundation Phase at Ryanair's facility at Stansted Airport. The Foundation Phase includes skills and knowledge training. Foundation skills are achieved in workshops and a hangar and includes practical handskills and maintenance practices. The Foundation Knowledge is achieved by completing the 12 EASA modular exams and 4 essays. On successful completion of the Foundation Phase you will begin working in a live hangar and complete your Development Phase. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The training will lead to an EAL level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Competence)

EASA Part 66 approved training certificate

An EAL Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Maintenance (Development Competence)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Apprentices who successfully achieve their CAT A licence can then progress to their CAT B Licence through the level 4 Certifying Technician apprenticeship route
