Job Description

The role holder will work closely with the University’s Apprenticeship Team to support the delivery of the University’s apprenticeship strategy. They will support the development and maintenance of the University’s Apprenticeship Management system, ensuring compliance with our central ESFA contract.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

1) Update INA documentation as required for the start of each academic year, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to obtain relevant information.

 

2. Support colleagues in the Apprenticeship Team and Academic Departments to schedule Progress Reviews, ensure records for these are kept up to date and securely stored.

 

3.Input employer data to the Maytas Apprenticeship Management System, including sourcing Employer Registration Numbers, ensuring contact details are up to date and invoicing details are entered.

 

 

4.Using Maytas, link all apprentices to their relevant employers, updating details for ESFA compliance including NI numbers, sourcing or creating ULNs and working with colleagues to provide accurate start, practical period end and EPA dates.

 

5.Input Off The Job hours into Maytas for each learner, collating time spent and providing audit reports on areas of concern to drive action plans with employers.

 

6.Input all Gateway and EPA data into Maytas to inform scheduling and provide data for Gateway Review Boards and final Tripartite reviews.

 

7.Run reports from Maytas for colleagues for a variety of purposes, both scheduled and as requested.

 

8.Act as the first point of contact for all Maytas queries for staff and apprentices.

 

9.Liaise with academic and professional services departments to enable cross institutional alignment of administrative processes and activity. Similarly, to monitor data inputs from academic departments into ensure accuracy of information and regulatory compliance.

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprentice will recieve a BA (Hons) Management Degree.

The apprentice will do the apprenticeship on our Bishop Otter campus

The apprentice will be due at University one day a week whilst working at our Bognor campus the other 4 days a week.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

To become an integral part of the Apprenticeship Team within the University.
