Job Description

An excellent opportunity to work in a front facing role as part of a vibrant team located in an infant and junior school in Burton. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full time employment and progress to higher level qualifications.

Responsibilities

An excellent opportunity to work in a front facing role as part of a vibrant team located in an infant and junior school in Burton.

Duties to include:

  • Reception duties welcoming pupils; parents and visitors to our school
  • Customer service; providing information and support in person,dc via telephone; email and social media
  • Carrying out a range of administrative tasks using Microsoft office and Google
  • Accessing and inputting information into various systems e.g. SIMS for pupil and staff data.
  • Using systems to produce reports
  • Follow procedures for accepting deliveries
  • Undertaking filing & photocopying tasks
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, equality and diversity, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Qualifications Required

  • 3 GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above or equivalent including English and maths

Training Provided

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release
  • The programme will culminate in an End Point Assessment, where all the skills and knowledge gained on the apprenticeship will be formally tested
