Job Description

So what is an Accounts Assistant?

Working closely with the Accounts team, the Apprentice Accounts Assistant will be required to complete specific allocated tasks to set deadlines, operate in house computer systems and handle a high level of detailed transactions demanding accuracy.

General duties:

  • Process vehicle invoices daily
  • Process delivery log weekly
  • Process general purchase invoices daily
  • Account for petty cash
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Assist with control of accounts mailbox
  • Process bank payments
  • Filing
  • Stationery control
  • Raise supplementary invoices and chase
  • Cash post funding listing
  • Collate information for P11d
  • Frank post
  • Provide general admin support

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Word & Excel

Qualifications Required

  • Maths and English at Grade 4/C (or equivalent) and above desirable although not essential

Training Provided

  • Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of on site tutor visits and online tutor led sessions
  • All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training
