We are searching for a motivated Accounts Apprentice with a willingness to learn all aspects of working in a fast paced environment. We are looking for someone to assist with the day to day running of the accounts department.

Responsibilities

Duties to include but not restricted to:

  • Inputting transactions onto the accounting system (Sales and Purchase Ledger)
  • Reconciling statements
  • Apportioning costs to current projects
  • Providing financial reports
  • Calculation of wages for CIS subcontractors
  • Performing basic office tasks including filing, answering the telephone, processing mail
  • Dealing with communications via e mail, on the telephone and in person
  • Assisting with costing of projects
  • Assisting with resolving discrepancies and other queries which may arise
  • Collating job costings
  • Assisting the Management team as required

Qualifications Required

  • You will ideally have GCSEs grades C/4 (or equivalent qualifications) in English & maths
  • Proficiency with the use of computers and software such as Excel / Word / e-mail packages

Training Provided

Training to be provided:

  • Intermediate (Level 2) Accounting Apprenticeship Framework
  • AAT Level 2
  • Functional Skills, if applicable
  • College attendance will be required for day-release every Wednesday during term-time
