Job Description

We are currently looking for an Apprentice Accountant to join the team at our friendly Pershore office. This opportunity would be ideally suited to an individual who is looking to start a career in accountancy or an AAT student early in their AAT studies.

Responsibilities

Duties will include: 

  • Assisting with accounts preparation for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies 
  • Assisting with the preparation of personal and business tax returns
  • Carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations 
  • Processing client records accurately using Xero, QuickBooks and other accountancy software
  • Preparation of VAT returns 
  • Assisting with general administrative duties including meeting and greeting clients, scanning, answering the telephone and supporting the team members as required

Qualifications Required

  • A-levels are not essential but would be advantageous
  • The candidate must have achieved good grades in their GCSEs (or equivalent) including maths, English and Science with a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 4/C and above (or equivalent)

Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • AAT Level 2
