Our client is a Graphic design & Digital Marketing agency who provides an end-to-end service in digital and traditional marketing solutions for their clients. The business also specialises in web design, professional branding, app development, marketing tools & print management.

The company are now expanding and are looking for a newbie to join their team! Working as an App Developer Apprentice! The team all together has over 30 years of experience. The culture in the office is friendly & staff are very approachable.

Job Role

You will be working as an App developer apprentice working towards a qualification as a - Level 3 Software Developer.

What your day will look like as an App Developer Apprentice:

  • Reading and researching about the Digital industry and gaining knowledge of the market
  • Researching into the latest mobile app development
  • Responding to customer and colleague queries
  • Producing digital content or media based on briefs from senior colleagues & clients

Future Prospects

Opportunity for the learner to secure a permanent position with the company after completing the apprenticeship.

Skills Required

  • You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a brilliant telephone manner
  • You will be willing to work hard and eager to learn
  • Have an interest in software development
  • Have some basic knowledge in coding either in HTML or JavaScript
  • Have some knowledge in software
  • You will have ideally had some experience using - Unity Pro or experience using 3D animation software

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role, you ideally would hold GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in both maths & English, and in three or four other subjects. You would look to have gained a GCSE/BTEC/A Level in IT or have some practical experience with the workings of computers and IT/Software (or equivalent).

Training Provided

You will be enrolled onto the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. The Level 3 Software Development Technician apprenticeship standard contains the following knowledge modules and Microsoft Technological Associate (MTA) certification:

  • Software Development Context & Methodologies
  • Programming
  • MTA Software Development Fundamentals (C#)
  • MTA Database Fundamentals

You will attend 3 training courses to help you pass the exams for the 2 knowledge modules and the MTA:

  • Software Development Context & Methodologies
  • Understanding the basics of learning coding.
  • Database Fundamentals

These qualifications are globally recognised industry certifications and form the significant building block of software development knowledge for anybody looking to start a career in software development.
