Job Description

Starting in September 2022, this is a three-year commitment during which you will learn and develop engineering skills and knowledge through onsite work placements, whilst also studying for nationally recognized qualifications.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Rotate about our key manufacturing areas including Assembly and Test, Machine Shop and Test Equipment

Support key manufacturing areas in their day to day activities.

Record and document learning in key manufacturing areas using Moog’s Apprenticeship Program

Participate in the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT).

Support Lean and 5s Initiatives across site.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Engineering Technician Level 3 Standard 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of your level 3 qualification, there is the opportunity to progress to an HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering.

The roles you will transfer into at the end of the scheme are:

- Skilled CNC Machinist
- A&T Technician
- Test Equipment Technician

This pathway will appeal to people who work well under pressure and are flexible enough to deal with the changing demands of production techniques.
