Responsibilities
What you will do in your working day
On our advanced engineering apprenticeship, you'll get to grips with the cutting-edge technology needed to deliver a first-class service – covering everything from robotics to intelligent sorting machines.
You’ll spend your first year in Blackburn, working and learning alongside other engineering apprentices and getting under the skin of how things work here. You'll learn how to fix, maintain and review all of our technology and get trained by senior colleagues who have seen it all.
The training you will be getting
You'll work towards an Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard that is recognised across the industry and will help you build your career here.
37-week residential course in year one in Blackburn and a six-week training course in year two.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard following the Mechatronics Maintenance Technician route: beginning at Level 3.
- Includes membership with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
- Further opportunities to continue onto higher level apprenticeships are available e.g. HNC, Degree and MSc programmes.
