Job Description

You will be doing a Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship as part of Central Bedfordshire Council's Early Careers Development Programme. Alongside the apprenticeship, you will be supporting your team with generating and processing data, and learning about the work the team does to support its internal and external customers as a 'Data Champion'.


What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Using Power Bi for data visualisation
  • Assisting the delivery of BI solutions
  • Supporting with data sets and analysis
  • Supporting with national data submissions including data linkage, disaggregation, trend analysis and forecasting
  • Understand the wider business reporting requirements and local reporting requirements

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will study for a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship while gaining invaluable work experience and earning a wage.

Reality Check

Desired qualities: A high knowledge of Excel is essential, including pivot tables and lookups. Knowledge of power query and VBA would be advantageous. Any experience with database management languages, such as SQL. A methodological and adaptable approach to problem solving.
