What will the apprentice be doing?
The Administration Apprentice will primarily be dealing with telephone enquiries and referring them to the appropriate person, whilst ensuring that all communications with insurers or customers are accurately recorded on file, or electronically, as per the Firm’s usual procedures. Other duties will include:
- Inputting new business, amendments and renewals on the Acturis system to maintain accurate records
- Keeping hard-copy records on customer files where appropriate in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures
- Compiling documentation for clients policies to include wordings and certificates (exclusions, conditions etc)
- Liaising with Insurers, other company staff and Claims Handlers when appropriate
- Assisting customers with day to day general enquiries
- Providing general office administration and supporting the Accounts team
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There is the intention for a full-time role to be offered to the suitable and successful candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship.
