Job Description

The apprenticeship with Fit For Sport delivered by Lifetime takes you over a 14 month period working on average 30 hours a week. Duties Include:

  • You will assist the Manager in the organisation and management of activities
  • Help plan and deliver active programmes
  • Learn to keep children safe. Learn to assess, record and report children’s progress and development. Inspire children and young people to develop and lead healthy active lifestyles
  • Support the development of new business opportunities
  • Be able to relate, motivate and encourage others being a conscious positive role model at all times
  • Assist in delivering sessions and services taking the lead in small groups as directed
  • Help to manage the effective use of resources to deliver Fit For Sport services
  • Report and record all accidents or incidents in accurately and in accordance with company procedures
  • Mentor and support colleagues as requested
  • As an apprentice with Fit For Sport, you will be studying towards a 14 months qualification that will be the Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship Level 2

There is opportunity to become a Manager of a Setting, or specialise in a specific sport or move into more of an operational role. We are a growing organisation that is keen to support and promote from within.

Reality Check

Skills Required

  • Ability to communicate and relate to others
  • Experience of working with children in a school, leisure centre or child care setting (desirable)
  • Good organisational skills

Qualifications Required

  • Level 1 Sports Coaching Activity Leadership or Child Care Qualification (desirable but not necessary)
  • A DBS check will be carried out if you are successful in becoming an Apprentice
