What will the apprentice be doing?• Learning a wide range of Accountancy and Bookkeeping Software • Becoming a Xero Certified Advisor • Data Entry using the latest apps and tools including scanning receipts • Bank Reconciliations and matching bank transactions to invoices and receipts • Learning about different types of taxes • Learning how a set of accounts is compiled • Learning how to put together a Tax Return • Learning the most up to date Accounts and Bookkeeping techniques for Making Tax Digital • Understanding how an office operates and collaborating with helping other team members • Studying for your AAT Level 2 with support from your employer • Handling confidential information in compliance with the organisations procedures • Using general business software packages / CRM / Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting level 2 An Accounts/Finance Assistant is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the business. This would include basic bookkeeping duties, working with sales and ledger, running calculations, to ensure that records and payments are correct. The apprentice will complete an End point Assessment to demonstrate that they can perform knowledge, skills and behaviours in their occupation.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?A permanent position will be available for the right candidate following successful completion of the apprenticeship. The business is looking for somebody who wants to develop and gain a full- time position following their apprenticeship.
