A great position has arisen at Williams & Co Engineering for someone wanting to start a career in finance with a few becoming permanent employee in the future.

Your daily duties will include:

  • All aspects of Purchase Ledger (processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, preparing payments, creating new accounts)
  • Maintaining Sales Ledger and undertaking some credit control
  • Processing some expenses
  • Helping Finance Manager with the month-end to record and reconcile account reports/information
  • Data entry and filing
  • Taking inbound telephone calls and responding to emails
  • Ordering some Office Supplies
  • Opening daily post

Full training from both Williams & Co and Boom Training will be given in order to complete the above duties to the best of your ability.


Future Prospects

If the apprentice proves to be successful with his/her duties, the role may be expanded to a full-time Accounts Assistant position once the apprenticeship is completed.

Salary can be £20,000 – depending on the level of knowledge at the end of the apprenticeship

Qualifications Required

  • GCSE in maths and English (A-C) or (9-4) or equivalent

  • A skills-based qualification in Business & Administration
  • A knowledge-based qualification in Business & Administration
  • A behaviour-based qualification in Business & Administration
  • City & Guilds Business Diploma Level 3
  • Functional Skills English (unless exempt)
  • Functional Skills maths (unless exempt)
  • Functional Skills ICT (unless exempt)
