Job Description

Muntons are a leading supplier of brewing and distilling malts and malted ingredients to the food & drinks industry worldwide. Muntons are the biggest malted ingredients manufacturer in the world, and in the top 20 malt producers in the UK. There is an opportunity for an accounts apprentice to join the team.

Responsibilities

To safeguard the company assets by validating and recording transactions and paying vendors in line with Muntons plc purchasing policy. To assist in the efficient functioning and delivery of services provided by the Finance Team. Principle Responsibilities:

  • Update SAP with invoices in a timely manner
  • Liaise with other departments and with suppliers as appropriate to resolve queries
  • Reconcile supplier statements to SAP and resolve any discrepancies
  • Pay suppliers in accordance with the terms stated in the Company’s Purchasing Policy
  • Ensure amendments to bank details are validated before BACS payments are made

Our site is a little bit out of town so you will need a bike or car or other form of transport, to travel to our location.

Skills Required

  • Have accuracy and tenacity
  • Possess good keyboard skills and a thorough knowledge of MS Office computer applications
  • Be numerate and literate and possess good organisational skills

Qualities Required

  • Be an effective communicator with staff and external bodies
  • Have self confidence and initiative to work with minimum supervision
  • Be able to contribute to a team environment

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 5 GSCEs graded A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (of which Maths must be one)
  • A Levels are advantageous but not necessary

Training Provided

  • Assistant Accountant Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • AAT Level 3
  • Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 2
