We believe that our Apprenticeship Programme is a fantastic alternative for students who do not wish to pursue the option of going to university but who want to train to become a Chartered Certified Accountant. We offer a training contract which provides comprehensive, supervised training with continued career progression to study the AAT/ACCA.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Act as a trainee accountant in the Corporate Team, working with a wide range of profit making organisations.
  • Carry out all accounting work, in compliance with the firm’s and statutory procedures.
  • Prepare accounts, including consolidated accounts, from both manual and computerised accounting records.
  • Provide general accounting services and assistance to clients in the preparation of accounts, for example preparing working papers.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

We offer a training contract which provides comprehensive, supervised training over 5 years with continued career progression with the view to study the ACCA after completing the AAT.

You will have a manager as your mentor and access to partners and senior staff for further guidance. A closely monitored and structured programme of tuition is provided by a top firm of external tutors. The training will consist of courses at the tutors’ offices, private study, regular assessments, as well as on the job training.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

When your training ends, we continue to help you develop, providing the same opportunities and challenges given to all Buzzacott team members.
