We believe that our Apprenticeship Programme is a fantastic alternative for students who do not wish to pursue the option of going to university but who want to train to become a Chartered Accountant. We offer a training contract which provides comprehensive, supervised training with continued career progression to study the AAT/ACA.

What you will do in your working day

  • To act as a trainee auditor in the Charity Team, working with a wide range of not-for-profit organisations,
including charities (social, religious, welfare, international development, healthcare etc) and educational
organisations (independent schools, government funded schools, colleges and universities).
  • Carry out all audit work, in compliance with the firm’s and statutory procedures.
  • Prepare accounts, including consolidated accounts, from accounting records.

The training you will be getting

We offer a contract of employment which provides comprehensive, supervised training over 5 years with continued career progression with a view to studying the ACA after completing the AAT.

You will have a manager as your mentor and access to partners and senior staff for further guidance. A closely monitored and structured program of tuition is provided by a top firm of external tutors. Training consists of courses at the tutors’ offices, private study, regular tests, as well as on the job training.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

When your training ends, we continue to help you develop, providing the same opportunities and challenges given to all Buzzacott team members. As a single-office practice you will get to know everybody in the Firm and have the opportunity to shine from day one.
