Key Responsibilities: 

  • Communicating and building working relationships with clients and other employees within relevant departments within the Firm
  • Planning, execution and completion of statutory audits, reporting to managers and partners
  • Preparation of statutory accounts, including review of disclosure requirements
  • Co-ordinate and communicate plans with clients, to ensure deadlines are met
  • Beginning to lead on-site audit teams and completing jobs with minimal supervision from the second year of contract, ensuring quality is met within budget
  • Monitoring and progressing less experienced trainees and team members from within your second year

Skills Required

  • Strong IT skills including MS Office and databases
  • Good numeracy and literary skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication

Qualities Required

  • Willingness to learn and ability to be flexible
  • Ability to maintain work-life-study balance to meet required deadlines
  • Willingness to contribute as part of a team

Qualifications Required

  • 5 GCSEs A*- C or 9-4 or equivalent in mMaths and English Language preferred
  • Minimum of 3 A-Level passes at grade A*-C or equivalent

Training Provided

Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship:

As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT Level 3 qualification.

The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

Level 4 Professional Accounting/Taxation Technician:

As an Accounting Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Professional Accountancy Taxation Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT certificate level professional qualification.

The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.
