What will the apprentice be doing?
The first few weeks will be spent in a training area learning the key skills required for working in the manufacturing areas; assembly techniques, Wiring and looming, Soldering and ESD safety. A rotation plan will start once you have completed your manufacturing key skills training, where you will gain experience & knowledge in a different manufacturing department every 4 - 6 months. After the rotation plan you will be put forward for an end point assessment to complete your apprenticeship.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As a manufacturing apprentice you will be working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations. For the duration of this 2-3 year programme you will be given one day per week in which to complete your studies with a local college. For the other 4 days you will be working in the business, applying your learning and gaining a breadth of experience across the industry.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You will become a Manufacturing Operative within the Manufacturing Team
