Job Description

As an apprentice you’ll be in the thick of all the action. You’ll expand your knowledge by attending college one day a week, while discovering exciting things and learning from our industry experts. If you’re an individual that can work independently and demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving, then an apprenticeship is the for you.


What will the apprentice be doing?

Learn how to design the world’s most epic structures. You could be involved in creating the next iconic bridge or developing one of the largest tunnels! You’ll be getting involved in the design, analysis, delivery and overall engineering of many important projects, providing long lasting solutions for everyone involved. Using programmes such as computer aided design and building information management, you’ll learn engineering principles to help design and deliver a variety of projects.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

At the end of all your hard work, you’ll have the opportunity to become a qualified engineering technician (EngTech). You’ll also gain a Level 3 Diploma in Civil Engineering for Technicians and a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

After the successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will be able to gain a place on a degree level apprenticeship.
