Job Description

You’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending university one day a week, while discovering exciting things and learning from our industry experts. If you’re an individual that can work independently when appropriate and can demonstrate a positive approach to problem solving, then an apprenticeship is the perfect step for you.

Responsibilities

What will the apprentice be doing?

Our buildings need to be warm, light and safe. Learn how to take a building from an empty shell to a comfortable space in which to live and work. Building services engineers work to ensure that buildings are not only comfortable, but also safe and energy efficient. . As part of the apprenticeship you will learn about different engineering principles including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building management systems. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

At the end of all your hard work, you’ll have a BEng in Building Services and industry certificates in Site Safety Plus, Site Managers’ Safety Training Scheme and Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme

 

This apprenticeship will include the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to achieve Incorporated Engineer status with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and lead to the designatory letters IEng ACIBSE. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successfully completion of this apprenticeship, you will be gain a place on our graduate programme, and we will support you to gain chartership with a professional insitution
