What will the apprentice be doing?
Our buildings need to be warm, light and safe. Learn how to take a building from an empty shell to a comfortable space in which to live and work. Building services engineers work to ensure that buildings are not only comfortable, but also safe and energy efficient. . As part of the apprenticeship you will learn about different engineering principles including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building management systems.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
At the end of all your hard work, you’ll have a Level 3 Diploma in Building Services Engineering for Technicians, a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment and an opportunity to become a qualified engineering technician (EngTech).
This apprenticeship will include the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to achieve Incorporated Engineer status with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and lead to the designatory letters IEng ACIBSE.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successfully completion of this apprenticeship, you will be encouraged to join the degree level apprentice and work towards a BEng qualification.
